Our Facilities

Welcome to SPRC

SPRC (Surbiton Postal Rifle Club) is located on the outskirts Kingston, and has a membership of over 120, a third of that number are juniors.

We have 3 ranges, a 25 yard range with 14 firing positions, seven of which can be used for standing and kneeling, and 5 have electronic turning targets. A 20 yard gallery / LSR  with 5 firing points, and electronic turning targets. And last but not least our air rifle & pistol range has 8 firing points, and electronic target senders.

We are open 4 nights a week, Mondays, Tuesdays Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30 to 10.30. The first 3 nights are for shooting league cards and general practice. Friday night is Junior night on the 25 yard range.

The first time you visit, we will give you a tour of the facilities. You cannot shoot on this occasion as Home Office rules mean all new prospective members must be vetted before joining a shooting club. Under Section 21 of the 1968 Firearms Act any person that has been sentenced to a term in prison cannot use a firearm. We will, therefore, ask you to complete a form which is sent off for vetting by the Police.

When we receive confirmation that there is no reason why you should not join the club we will invite you to join the next Induction Course. The Induction will consist of 6 sessions held on Thursday evenings at the club. You will be instructed in safety rules and given basic training in how to shoot firearms. All the necessary equipment of rifles, mats, telescopes, jackets, gloves and ear defenders etc. will be provided.

We are an organisation run entirely by volunteers; there are no salaried staff. All money goes towards maintaining and improving the club for all.

We look forward to meeting you.
